To coordinate the academic activities related to foreign students studying at Gujarat Ayurved University and to provide exclusive information to foreign nationals, an International Center for Ayurvedic Studies was established in 1999. This center coordinates the admission of foreign nationals in various short-term and long-term courses and provide technical and administrative support to the students. At present many foreign students are studying in BAMS course at Shree Gulabkunverba Ayurved Mahavidyalaya. ICCR is sending students to study Ayurveda at various courses at this University.

This Centre is organizing tailor-made short term courses for WHO Fellows being sponsored by SEARO at New Delhi. The courses are conducted through different institutional units of this university along with the Post Graduate Institute.
Health Ministry of Bhutan had sponsored a batch of traditional doctors for 4 months Panchakarma training program. Such courses are organized in conjunction with the department at IPGT&RA and GA Mahavidyalaya. Long term courses like one year Certificate course in Panchakarma for Doctors is often sponsored by WHO.
Of recent the center has started accepting the medical and paramedical students from various foreign university who are willing undertake optional elective subject placement in Ayurveda. Many queries are received in this regard.
