GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR “Ph.D. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION 2020-21”

For the admission of academic session 2020-21 of Ph.D. Degree in Ayurveda, Ayurved Pharmaceutical Science & Medicinal Plant Science

I.P.G.T. & R.A., Jamnagar.

1. Examination center will be only in Jamnagar city.

2. The eligibility test will be based on General Knowledge, Current Advances in Medical Science, Research Methodology and Knowledge of Ayurveda. The test will be in MCQ format of 100 Marks having 60 minutes duration.

3. The duration of the Entrance Examination will be 60 minutes: Timing: 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. Reporting Time: One hour before the commencement of examination i.e. 09.00 a.m. The student has to follow the guidelines of Covid-19 during the examination.

4. Question Paper will be in English language.

5. Complaints against ambiguous questions if any, should be submitted to the Examination Centre Superintendent concerned before 12.00 noon, on the day of examination, after which no complaint will be entertained.

6. Results, Answer Key and Merit List will be published on university website and Institute notice board. No separate mark sheets or call letters for counseling will be posted. It will be available online only.

7. Counseling for qualified candidates will be done at the Director Office, I.T.R.A., Jamnagar on 28/11/2020 at 10:00 AM.

8. Selection of candidates shall be made strictly on the basis of final merit index calculated out of total of 100 marks based on written test.

9. Minimum eligibility marks for admission in case of general & OBC candidates shall be 50% of the total marks and 40% in case of candidates belonging to the Schedule Castes & Schedule Tribes.

10. The merit of degree holder of GAU and other than GAU will be maintained separately.

11. In case of candidates securing equal marks in the written test, the merit will be decided as below:

	a. On the basis of highest total marks obtained in BAMS final year.
	b. In case of candidates having equal marks in BAMS final year too, then higher marking in the speciality subject will be considered.

	Date of Counseling for the candidates passing their qualifying examination	28.11.2020 10:00 a.m. Saturday

12. Students who qualify in the merit have to appear in the counseling as schedule given above. At the time of counseling, original certificates like; all the concerned documents of P.G. Graduation and other relavant certificates like Graduation marksheets, degree certificate, internship completion certificate, SSC & HSC passing certificates, caste certificate, recent creamy layer certificate for O.B.C. / S.E.B.C., along with two sets of self attested photocopy of the said certificates. Selected candidates will also be required to deposit the admission fees as given in the brochure.

13. Candidates will not to be allowed with Books, notes, bags, Mobiles, Pagers or any type of electronic devices inside the center(Simple [non scientific] calculator will be allowed). There is no place for safe upkeep of these belonging, hence students are instructed not to bring any such thing with them at the examination centre.

14. Candidates have to produce authentic Photo ID proof as mentioned in the hall ticket at examination centre along with self-attested photocopy of the same.

15. In all future correspondence applicant must mention his/her roll number.
